It didn’t come with the glue that normally comes with these kids and you can’t find that glue anywhere you can’t buy it online you can’t even find a manufacturer that makes that glue I know it’s an alcohol based glue made out of China that’s it that’s all you’re better off to stick to brand names like DIY and Rolife those are value for your money.

I was very much looking forward to making this little cottage. However, the instructions are written in such poor English and gave very little detail. I was not able to follow them. I enlisted help from my young adult daughter as she had just finished one made by a different company. She was not able to figure it out either. I had to return it.

Over all this tea house kit is wonderful. The product is beautiful! I had trouble getting a few of the wooden pieces out but other than that the kit has come well made. The wood is thin so you have to be careful in punching it out. I have to admit, the instructions are a little stressful to read.! I feel as if there is very little organization between how the instructions are written and how the items are packaged. I am so glad I WAS FOLLOWING A YOUTUBE VIDEO because I am a visual learner. So, I rarely looked at the instructions. It saved me from feeling too much frustration.
This is only my second miniature. I love that I could do this one. It is VERY detailed so be ready to cut a lot of paper-(they could have made this so much easier though)- 🙁 This was frustrating to me because having to cut different designs out, so exactly, was hard. Be prepared to cut and glue a lot! Slow and steady!

First let me say that this little project when completed is absolutely adorable and treasured. However, this kit is not for the novice. It took me a month of working on weekends and a lot of nights to get it finished. I used Turbo Tacky Glue and Gorilla super glue, 5 sets of tweezers, extra small Fiskars scissors and a lot of paper towels. There was an extra of the blue triangles that I cut into smaller pieces to fill in the gaps for the circular roof feature in the front. The instructions can get confusing and not entirely easy to follow. I wish at times it would say “green crepe paper” or “shiny gold paper” as opposed to it’s code. Be prepared to improvise and use your creativity. I hope some of my pictures can help with seeing things that aren’t explained well or not addressed at all.

SUPER CUTE-Strongly recommend this kit to even a beginner…. just pay close attention to the instructions. I’ve done a lot of these kits…from the simple to the complicated. Each kit has their ‘thing’ about them… like some have a lot of plants… others a lot of books…or boxes…or food… and all of them tend to follow the same way of doing things…I loved the way this one didn’t follow the typical pattern….it had me created items other kits don’t do or do poorly…like the cans of tea…the scale… the whole kit is so well-thought-out and planned that if you follow the instructions you will create a beautiful little tea house you can be proud of. I recommend this one to everyone…no matter where they are in skills. This one is hands down my new favorite.
The only thing I wish was better in the kit was the roof instructions. The parts for the roof need clarity as to what side the clear windows should be installed on…. especially the part over the door where the 3 segments all look the same, but are all different. Before putting on the clear sheets I suggest putting the roof together with scotch tape to get an understanding of how it should go.
