   While this Elissabat is a lovely toy, when I took her out of the box, her hair was greasy from apparent glue seepage — it had even soaked the cardboard behind her head! I brushed some talcum powder through her hair, which helped somewhat, though I couldn’t put much in because of how dark her hair is, so it still has a bit of an undesirable texture — in the pictures, you can see it still looks a bit greasy and stringy, though not as badly as before. In addition, the bangs were styled quite differently than in the product pictures — they hover above her forehead and protrude outwards. One arm is a little loose in its socket, but since I plan on playing with them infrequently and gently, this shouldn’t be a problem. She arrived in-box with all of her accessories (movie with a little dvd in the case, award, diary, hairbrush, and stand) and her outfit appears to be well made. Overall, this is a toy for a collector wanting an affordable doll, or an adult or older child who will play with her gently. One star was deducted for her hair, but other than that, she’s quite nice.

   I bought this with the knowledge from the shop owner that the box was slightly damaged from the get-go, but the contents inside were fine; so I hold no ill will towards the shop. The only unfortunate thing was because it was an extremely warm day when it was delivered, her little journal booklet semi melted onto itself (It’s made of plastic-paper), so I can’t exactly open it without possibly tearing any of the text inside.. Her accessories are beautiful, no damage to her clothes or boots, no damage to her accessories 🙂 Small little mark on her face but can be cleaned up. Her hair has some glue seepage which started parting her bangs during that hot summer day, but that can be taken care of with washing and conditioning now and then. Overall I love her.
