   I hate how hard it is to assemble. On one of the pieces where you slide the part where the mattress thing goes there was not a hole for the screw so I had to put in my own hole. Some of the screw holes weren’t even lined up correctly. I had to use my own screws that I had for building other things because the screws wouldn’t go in. On the other hand, it is very cute and came packaged very nicely and was super protected. The bedding is made nicely and, so far for me, has been very durable. Thanks for reading, Sabrina D.

   While I appreciate the quality of the actual American Girl products, my granddaughters just received their dolls for Christmas. To acquire furniture for the dolls I wanted an option that wouldn’t break the bank, since there are two girls I’m buying for, hence the bunk beds. These beds seem well made and the girls are pleased with them.

   These bunk beds are so cute! Easy to put together and the bedding is adorable. I had pink flannel pillow cases made into sheets but not needed. We made our own string of beads for the bed. Our 5 year granddaughter loves it! Great price!

   It looks really cute and the bedding it came with is especially nice. However , the quality is not the best, which is disappointing given the price. The original screws didn’t fit – they weren’t long enough to go through the holes, and secure the pieces. I had to buy longer screws.  So all in all I would give it a 3/5 – it is a good toy for the time, but it is too expensive for the quality.

   Like many other reviews, I received a defective headboard and several other parts were missing altogether. However, the customer service was excellent and I received my replacement parts within two days (you call the company directly, not DollsByDorcel). It’s a really cute bed, easy to put together, and my nieces loved it.
