   This turned out really pretty – I love the fairy lights strung across with the green plants over top. I did find that the order of putting some of it together was a struggle, not quite enough room to get everything in there. I ended up not using the square table at all (but I am working on my own nooks, so I should be able to use it there). Also, I liked the way the lighting/battery/switch is set up – no turning or fumbling to turn this on or replace the batteries. And, this one is NOT for beginners

   This the 6th mini dollhouse I’ve constructed from various companies. I was disappointed that it costs $20 more than the others I have purchased and included NO tools. You really need the small file that other kits include in order to sand the tabs down that don’t fit (like the ladder that broke in 3 pieces). The directions are also not the best. It tells you to fold the sticker that works as a canopy. Better way is to cut around the sticker BEFORE you peel it, fold it, and then peel it so it goes on nice and easy. For glue, I recommend the 3 in 1 glue that DollsByDorcel recommends with some of the other kits as opposed to white glue. It tacks faster but still gives you time to adjust the piece. The wood quality is very good and I think it is a good piece despite some of the drawbacks.

   This was a more difficult book nook. Just be patient and it’ll work out perfectly. Looks beautiful when it’s done.

   This book nook deserves a review. The amount of thoughts and details that went into making this possible is amazing. The angled mirror creating a perspective of a curved alley and text (on the sticker) being flipping to make it look correct when seen through mirror was excellent. The string lights along with the moss on top made it look really good at the end. Few things to mention: – This wasn’t super easy and hence it is not the best for kids. Perfect for couples to spend the weekend. – It required a lot of additional stuff if you want it done perfectly. Super glue + White glue + Scissors + Tweezers + Batteries + Screw driver. – We didn’t compromise on anything and so it took us quite long. – The only part where instructions weren’t clear was related to cutting a silver wire. I ended up cutting it incorrectly but fortunately there was some extra. Tips: – The length of the string lights is important. Do it as close as possible to what is said in the instructions. – Do not glue the bookcase and the furniture before gluing the left wall. Just follow the instructions. – Do not avoid the lights. Lights are 80% of the reason it looks so good.

   We ordered this and another similar item from another company, and this one was hands down the best quality! The instructions were well thought out. The thickness of the wood makes for a sturdy nook, the details of the accessories were amazing. I absolutely would order other ones from this company over the other companies!!

   The result is stunning! The parts are beautifully crafted. I only gave it a 4 because it’s not super challenging, and most of the items are already finished. I would have loved to be able to stick more paper details to the wood items, since they’re all finished except for the books. I also wish I could make more items from scratch, also there’s no fabric, which I love to include in my miniatures. The lights are bright and beautiful, and the flower pots were the only items, I really enjoyed putting together. The flower selection is exquisite!
   For the price they should have included a dust cover

   Much of this kit was delightful: solid materials and accessories along with great instructions (although the fairy lights were fiddly and depended too much on tiny weak hooks). However, after I finished the rather complicated wiring harness and turned it on, I discovered that the switch unit was faulty and wouldn’t reliably hold its On or Off status without wiggling loosely. I left a message about the problem on the manufacturer’s website a couple of months ago. No answer, no acknowledgment, no help, just crickets. EDIT I have heard from the kit maker, whose response has been very helpful. Now I’m comfortable giving this beautiful book nook a 5 star rating.
