Ok, I bought this for my granddaughter because she has red hair and brown eyes, just like this barbie. Also, she has real chickens and loves them.
The price I paid was around $25 all said and done. Well worth that and it was a fair price imo.
I do think she will be excited to get it.
That being said, the next day I happened to look again on DollsByDorcel and other retailers. The price had jumped to $49 on DollsByDorcel and higher on EBay and Walmart. Really????
Apparently, unbeknownst to me, this barbie and chickens went viral yesterday after it was posted on fb. Right after I bought it for half the price.
All I can say is it’s cute, but not $50 cute. That’s just greedy and taking advantage at that price point.

I am a Vegan by choice. So am not a supporter or an encourager of animal farming for food consumption reasons. But this heavily accessorized doll set came at a massive discount and what intrigued me most was that perfect American cowgirl Caucasian face sculpt. Also coordinating well with the casual farmhouse look are those unique realistic looking red boots to go along with the display box’s beautifully designed bushes of the countryside background. Those demin shorts are nicely detailed to appear visually cute and I love the strawberry-smoothied summer top. My doll, however, is missing out on those face defining freckles. But I do possess a few dolls and a similar redhead with freckles; an early made to move dolls. So no issues regarding that. In fact, looking all inclusive without freckles, her anticipating wide eyed hazels take all the focus above those smooth powdered like cheeks highlighted by a standing out natural rose blush. This doll is strikingly beautiful. And the chicken stand is also nicely crafted. Although, those innocent looking chicks with the (white, red and black) Trinity resembling mom-dad-chickens? Well, they aren’t coming out of this gorgeous display box! As per by me, all lifeforms matter, for I honour Mother Nature.
