   When the doll arrived It smelled in fact it reaked of the smell of baby powder or lotion, but I now believe that it was a great deal of baby oil in the doll’s hair as you can see in the picture what a mess the hair was it was matted at the bottom and when I attempted to comb it out, it just seemed like it kept getting worse and then there was a very, very oily texture to the hair, which I believe was the baby oil. So I washed the hair, hoping that it would get better. It did get out the smell, but there was still oily residue left in the hair so I washed it again again. I do not cut hair. I don’t profess in how to cut hair but out of desperation I gave her a haircut while the hair was wet again. So as you can see in the picture of the results, but again it was still oily not as much, but it was still oily so I again washed it with Dawn detergent and nearly all of it has now come out after three washings. Are all these dolls like this? I don’t know. Maybe I got a bad batch as far as the doll itself. She’s real cute. Adorable face , clothes are very cute. Doll itself is heavier as reborn dolls are to replicate a real baby, but she’s impossible to sit up and I wonder if that would not frustrate a child not being able to sit this doll up on its own. It would require something like a dolly stroller or highchair to possibly get it to sit up. Due to the issue with the hair I gave it four stars if there had been 3 1/2 stars I would’ve probably given it that. Well made with hair issues. For what you’re paying for these dolls, you should get better quality than this particular one but I still recommend the doll just would suggest checking it before you give it as a gift.

   Doll looked used and a mess when opened for my 3 year old granddaughter at Christmas. Look at the hair! Would have returned but could not take a gift back from a 3 year old!!! Very expensive doll to receive this!
