   This is my first experience with a reborn doll, so I really didn’t know what to expect. Well, the joy that my granddaughter expressed upon opening the box was beyond my imagination. She shouted with delight. The doll is extremely lifelike. The attention to detail is remarkable. Even the bottom of the feet are wrinkled, just like a newborn. It is even weighted to feel like a real baby! Be advised that she is not all silicone – the trunk of her body is stuffed cloth. The hair is hand-rooted, but it is delicate. I don’t suggest brushing or combing it, other than to just keeping it in place. I am happy to see a dark-skinned doll on the market. I recommend it.

   Pros: Baby looks so realistic. Super adorable and body is actually tea. Very soft and flexible. Beautiful chocolate skin tone and great attention to detail down to the little fingernails. Her hair is incredibly soft and can be styled.

   Cons: Baby looks like she got no neck. Outfit looks and feels cheap like sis bought it at a dollar tree.

   This is adorable realistic sized newborn doll. Although her length and chubby torso is realistic, I appreciate that her weight is not, making her easier to move around with and cuddle all day long. She is created with a soft vinyl texture head and limbs and a squishy fabric torso. She could easily turn into a “he” because she is not anatomically correct and her color variation doesn’t scream “girl.” Just change her clothes and possibly give her a haircut to style into the boy doll of your dreams. I appreciate that her hair is rooted, so you can manage it easier, but it is softer than normal hair with a feathery feeling, unlike hair with a normal curly pattern. Her creases, dimples, and paint job make her look very similar to a real baby. A few people told me they thought she was real at first when I had her out with me. She feels very well put together, though her limbs are really tight now, but with time should be easier to move for photos. She is affordable for new reborn replica collectors and older children who can care for her. Pick a name, order her for a birthday/ adoption day, and you have a forever baby who is always happy, never is hungry, never cries and best of all, doesn’t require dirty diaper changes.
